For a small room the lighter the color the better because it'll make your room seem more open. I can't actually visualize your furniture with the description you gave but keep in mind that painting furniture can be great for a pop of color or accent in your room but painting all of your furniture purple might look a little tacky. I don't know what shade you are thinking of either, but remember lighter colors always give the impression of more space. To save space keep vertical in mind. Use up wall space and also shelves along the wall are great. Getting a tall shelf (if you don't mind spending extra cash) is something to keep in mind even if you don't need all the space, as the emptiness will also give the impression of a larger room. If you plan on getting any new furniture look for things with legs and storage because the space underneath will help it look less closed off but you'll still use maximum space. Also look for things with storage in them.
A storage bed would be a great space saver. You can also consider wall beds. I had a full wall shelved for all those little things and more. Saved loads of clutter. Make sure you sand your wooden furniture down a little before painting. Putting a mirror up can make the room seem bigger. Don't have all the walls the same colour, have one of them different even if just a shade or two.
I have a very small bedroom, do you have any tips or ideas as in redecorating it. Would it be a good idea to get a daybed/ storage bed to save space? And I have wooden furniture that's painted green at the front but I'm thinking of panting it purple for so I can buy purple stuff for my room instead would that work? Any tips or ideas for a small bedroom would be appreciated thank you
