Advice on sealing eggshell painted furniture?

Clear coat..be very careful not to touch it at all for 24 hours, though, or you will mess up the paint. It might require a longer period of time to let dry, spraying it on in whatever way works for you, then letting that dry completely

before turning it, and take into consideration any high temps., which iisn't a good time to paint, as it becomes tacky. But, that is beautiful, as is. Clear coat will give it a high gloss. Do an under the seat spray to start with, to practice the distance that works best with no runs.

From what I can tell, most eggshell paints are finishes. But here's a link for a source:

Hi

I have recently been renovating some wooden furniture, mainly dining tables and chairs etc in pine and oak.

Baring in mind that I am a complete novice, I am concerned that I may be missing some important steps in order to get the best and longest lasting finish possible.

My current routine is to rub down, fill, sand then undercoat and 2x eggshell topcoat using a 1200 HVLP spray gun.

My main concern at the moment is that I don't know what I should be doing to seal my more delicate items such as the dining tables to protect them from knocks, digs etc. Should I be waxing them or is there some kind of spray on sealer I can buy?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
