I would keep the walls on the lighter side to offset the dark floors, there are lots of shades of off white, cream, gray, sage green that go really nicely with the black.
Before even considering painting - check with your manager/landlord....because - most will NOT allow you to paint the walls any other color than what's already on the walls.
A great way to add color; take the current curtains down (fold them, place them in a bag and store them in a closet until you move out - then, take them out of the bag and hang back up), put your own colorful ones up, buy colorful throw rugs and pillows.
Im moving into my own apartment. One bedroom one bath. I need ideas on how i should paint it and what colors. The floor throughout the whole apartment is huge black tiles. The bathroom has black tiles and black tiles in the shower. All the appliances are white. I have no furniture yet, besides my headboard for my bedroom which is a dark brown leather. Any suggestions?
