I'm moving into a new apartment and am trying to figure out how to decorate my bedroom. The walls are white and cannot be painted. The floor is white/grey tile.

I've purchased the malm bed from ikea with matching dresser set in a pale birch colour. I also bought this Cynthia Rowley bedding set that I absolutely love. The pic shows one of the throw pillows. The comforter has the same design sorta down the middle but, is mostly white (when folded back is the turquoise). The other throw pillow is a deep turquoise with white design. I'm thinking I'll get either lilac, baby blue or pale green sheets for the bed to pull out the subtle colours in the bedding.

But, I'm stuck for what colour curtains to get. Since its my bedroom I'd prefer a heavy room darkening curtain so I'm trying to avoid white (but, may not have a choice). Any ideas?

Also any suggestions regarding lamps for the beside tables and for decorations/wall hangings would be much appreciated.

If you can provide links to specific items (available for shipping to Canada) that would be most helpful.
