If your family is buying the house .....then your parents can do what ever they want.
So my family is moving soon. The house has 3 bedrooms, one of which will be mine. It's in the front corner of the house with 4 walls; 2 bordering the outdoors each with windows, one bordering the living room, and one kind of bordering the kitchen. Currently the door leading into the room connects to the middle of the living room and it's not private at all. My dad suggested that we move the door; specifically place it in the sort-of-hallway off the kitchen that has the pantry and the entrance to the basement. Hopefully you can sort of picture what I'm talking about.
Anyways, the problem with that would be furniture placement. I have a lot of small pets and I'm also homeschooled, so I need a lot of furniture (a workspace, and lots of shelving for my pets' cages). I think I want to have a loft bed. If I were to leave the door where it is, the loft bed would have the perfect spot. But if I move the door, the bed would either be against the living room wall (which is not private at all) or blocking all the windows.
I have drawn a diagram to hopefully show the room better. Any ideas with furniture placement would be great. I also just want to make the room a little more private.
