But, then my idea would be to put fairy lights behind it :)
Here is where get voile by the metre or ready mades and I will also list some lights that you could use behind it.

Perhaps, if it wasn't too much you could use this idea for the wall that your bed is on too?
Anyway, hope you like the idea - personally I think would look wonderful and your friends would be sooooo jealous :))
I have different sized shelves on either corner of my 'slant' and pictures following the slant of my wall... There really isn't much you can do :/. My friend has white Christmas lights lining the area where the ceiling and the wall meet.
You can paint the slanted parts of the wall a deeper color than you paint the rest of the wall.
here are some ideas:http://www.houzz.com/attic-bedrooms-idea...
Make sure you have room for clothes and books.
Enjoy decorating.
my bedroom is on the top floor where the roof is and it has arched in ceilings which sounds like what you have. my room is lavender ombre so it goes from a purple too a really pale lavender until it hits the ceiling which is white. It is really blended and subtle not like some of the stripey ombre walls you may find when researching them online. This paint job works well for a room with slanted walls because it creates the illusion of making the room feel more open. This is a blurry picture pf my room but it gives you the idea.
