Then spray it. Any kind. of paint and don't try to do it in one pass. Spray paint is like water. Very thin. So if you apply it thick, it will run (something to do with "gravity") Spray the vertical sides lightly and wait 15 minutes and do again lightly and wait 20 minutes(actually we had a cigarette to smoke) and used that as the timer. So painters smoked a lot. That is if you need to do the sides a third time....no sanding, just paint as it will dissolve the paint below it to gain a hold onto.
Yes, you can spray it, but I suggest spraying it once, let it dry, and give it a "one over" to see if it looks good. Then just respray it till its in a way you like. I also suggest getting some sand paper to smooth it out, any grit would work fine but I suggest getting any fine grit sandpaper. Then just coat it with some gloss or similar protective coating.
As for a color, try getting one similar to the color the material is. The paint will be able to coat itself to the protective lamination the wood has, though you could always just gently sand it off with the fine grit sand paper, then spray it over.
Yes you can. I just suggest you clean it first to remove all dirt and oil, like from finger prints and such. let it dry thoroughly and spray paint it. I did my laminated cabinets . turned out beautiful
I'm buying a desk for cheap on kijiji because I'm a student and therefore do not have a lot of cash...I haven't picked it up yet but by the picture it looks like it's made of a laminate wood type material. I want to spray paint it to make it fun, will the "wood" take the spray paint and if so, which kind of spray paint would work best?
