Can old wood blocks with holes have termites inside?

Don't throw it away. If there are some hole maybe there are termites or insect inside. You can use insecticide to kill them. Many types available in your local store. I prefer spray type as it is easier to use. Just make sure

spray through and inside the hole. The wood block is kept inside plastic bag so it is in very good condition.

I have few wood blocks, old with big and small holes on the surface on some of these. I am willing to use these but am afraid if there are termites or other such insects inside, may be inactive for a long time, but will become active later. In fact these are kept inside a bag tightly closed and I never see any insect when I open to inspect the blocks. Should I use the blocks or throw these away?
