If your baesment is prone to flood in the future, tile would be a better choice

Thanks Capt. Obivous - I think you may have misread my question. I'm hopeful a realtor can chime in here.

Recently we had a small flood in our basement. The carpet was removed and now I'm wondering if we should take the opportunity and replace with tile. Which will be considered better for our home value?
