I'd recommend Insulated Conservatory Roof Tiles, they're the most cost-effective option for anyone looking to improve their conservatory. A site called Polar Home Innovations offer this product at very compeititive prices.
Boys got most of it but I'd expect you will need planning. You certainly need to ask. If you do this be prepared to almost rebuild it to comply with building regs. You don't just have to get the u value of the roof to code but the whole thing. Walls floor windows and roof.
Thank you. .
unless you buy the lightweight alloy imitation tiles then it wont be possible ..the weight of the tiles is too great for a conservetory ..and the degrees of pitch may make it not suitable to tile ...the other factor is ...a conservetory needs no planning ..nor building regs ...but if you tile it ..its no longer a conservetory ..its an extension ...although you probably still do not need planning ...every extension requires building regs ..so you would need to involve building control ..they would definately not allow you to tile a conservetory roof ...you would need to replace the roof ...and it still might mean you would need to install steel bars to prevent the building from moving out of plumb with the weight of the roof ..on an extension the ceiling joist prevent this ...
Hi all, Thinking of changing our conservatory roof to tiles. Anyone an idea of cost and how good the difference is? Thank you .
