It isn't the sewing/embroidery machine that matters as much as the software that drives it (and your proficiency at operating it). The sewing machine doesn't automatically create a stitch file from a picture, you need software to do that. The main point regarding a machine is that it must accept custom files rather than only accepting pre-programmed commercially sold files.
