I think that is cool that you are more of an artist. There are so many things you can do for your room.
First of all, start with a nice color on the wall. A neutral gray would look masculine and is "In" right now.
IF you have some of your art, hang it up. That makes your room personal.
Get a great bedspread and curtains. If you want some great Pop of color go with RED. That color never fails to excite. Then you can have just small accents of royal blue, gray and black if you want.
Pillows are great for tying everything in; patterns and colors.
I have boxing gloves, snow shoes and tomahawks, nun-chucks on the wall. Someone stole my shrunken head of my dead brother
Get a bed frame and nice bedding. It goes a long way.
Some table or floor lamps would be a good idea. The rugby bedding is classic :http://www.target.com/p/room-essentials-... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Better-Homes-a... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Simple-Luxury-... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Doe-Li-Touch-L... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Doe-Li-Touch-L... http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/produc... http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/produc... add fresh green plants and frame some of your artwork.
I moved into my new house in November & I still haven't even unpacked. It's pretty much just a mess of boxes with a mattress on the floor and bare white walls. My friends from art camp are coming to visit me in 2 weeks and I want it to look impressive for them. My younger brother has a really cool room with graffiti on the walls and rap posters and a soda machine. I'm more of an artist and I like indie music and stuff (I guess I'm kind of a nerd) so I guess something that works with that? Does anyone have suggestions of stuff that I could do to make my room look more interesting? All of the stuff I look at online is either really girly or for little kids and that wouldn't really work for a 16 year old guy
