Also, an infestation would imply absolutely loads of mice. You have have 5 if you're unlucky. If you're really unlucky more but what do I know about mice families?
Anyway, see how traps and stuff go. Good luck. Chill, its only a few mice after all haha.
Use traps but not poison. If the mouse wanders off to die in a wall where you can't reach it, you're gonna hate it when it starts SMELLING. They are prolific breeders and mature quickly to become new breeding adults so start your plan of attack now. For every one you see, there are bound to be plenty more...and maybe get a cat if your dogs are cat friendly.
I live in a one story home, and it's pretty clean most of the time. At least my room usually is. So anyway, we had a mouse a few weeks ago that would pop put every now and then at night, but I didn't think much of it. I just cleaned everything to kill any germs it was leaving behind, but I thought nothing of one little mouse. Eveidently, I found it the other day dead under the couch. So, of course I was relived because it was gone. But just about an hour ago, I saw another mouse run right across the kitchen. I stood there in shock, cus I realized that this means there is more than one mouse. So now, the question is how many? I have two dogs, so I figure if there is enough mice for it to be considered an infestation, they would've noticed by now. And most likely, so would I. But I'm still worried cus I have no idea how many there could be. It could be as little as 2 or 3, or as much as a few hundred. So I'm just wondering, how do I know whether or not it's an infestation? Is it a problem I can solve on my own, or should I call an exterminator? I have wooden floors throughout my house, if that makes any difference as to whether or not it's an infestation. And we usually keep our food wrapped up and put away. Like I said, my house is usually pretty clean. I try to sweep every day. I'm honestly surprised I even have mice. So anyway, how do I deal with this? Any advice would help. Thanks!
