to be honest i actually think they do because pretty much everything needs fertilization to grow
the seeds you get at your supermarket may have been al ready fertilized im not sure
im not much of an expert when it comes to this
Yes, they do need pollination. With the shortage of bees it is sometimes difficult to get good consistant pollination. Some people even use a small artist paint brush and make sure. That is time consuming but it does work.
Yes, all nightshade plants (tomatoes, potatoes) and pepper plants require pollination of some sort. There is a lack of bugs, which is reducing yield. What I've seen done for pollination is:
Using a toothbrush, "brush" the pollen
Using an electric toothbrush, move up and down the stems that have flowers
Use a cotton swab or your finger, touching each flower in a circular motion
Repeat the previous with a finger
Now, most nightshade plants CAN self-pollinate, however. Good luck if you're growin' some! (Oh, and If you expect fruits from seeds you got out of store-bought tomatoes, sorry, but those aren't edible)
all vegetation requires pollination.
do tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, etc. need to be pollinated to grow fruits?????
