Do you need floor protectors on tiles?

They are not necessary in most cases, however if you are wanting to put floor protector pads/feet under a 4-legged table, they may help to stabilize the table due to the un-evenness of the tiles and grooves. Putting a floor protector mat under an office chair that has wheels on it may help the chair roll more smoothly as well as prevent the wheels from chipping the edges of the tile. So it would be according to your application whether you would want to use floor protectors or not.

I bring my bicycle into the house, (for lack of a garage). When I do, I place a little plastic plate onto the floor where the kickstand will contact the floor in order to protect my floor from damage from the kickstand. it is all according to your discretion.

Yeah sure I will definitely prefer to protect my room floors. Last year we used cantera tiles for our floor from architecturalstoneelements.com & these tiles are really very colorful & easy to clean. Always I use floor mats to protect all the floors & floor protectors are very necessary also.

Depends on what type of furniture and what is on the bottom of the leg.. Any type of metal on the leg bottom absolutely needs to be covered..Metal can scratch and leave perminate(sp?) marks..If its justa wood leg, usually not..Nylon either they ll be fine. The only place I suggest any type of padding is on chair legs that get slid in and out on dining room chairs.. GL
