Call your Electric Utility company first to make sure they have NOT reduced the line voltage in your are.
Then, have a reputable qualified electrician check your wiring.
A loose or broken Neutral can cause this.
pete's answer is a good start but may not find the actual cause.
Further to pete's suggestion, check if some lights are dimming and other lights are getting brighter. If this is occurring, then it is a loose or broken neutral. This could be the supply lines from your Electric Utility company or it may be in your Electric system (Mains/Panel)
Turn everything off then turn one item on at time or just turn off fridge to see if the flickering stops
Just the past 2 days when I hear the fridge make its noise (fan noise & stuff) everything in my granny flat I mean everything starts flickering .. lights fish tank light flashes my lamps the tv the smoke alarm goes off ... im sure the fridge is whats causing this as it happens when I hear the fridges noisee. Its like paranormal activity here Does anyone here understand what the hell is going on ..?????
