The make clear coats in a spray can that are semi gloss and gloss. They dry in about an hour.

Polyurethane dries very fast...you can use semi gloss paint or semi gloss polyurethane...

I am working on a project and purchased flat paint by mistake. I have already painted the pieces of wood I need and was wondering if there is a way to change it to a semi-gloss finish? I don't want to use polyurethane because it will take too long to dry. I need something that will dry within a few hours. Do they make clear coats to go on top, or would I be better of purchasing another can of the same paint with a semi-gloss finish and applying one more coat to the flat surface?
