Floating floor and using caulk for expansion gaps?

It was either or both.. You never want to "attach" the floating floor down. And you basicaly did when you secured the cabinets down. Plus the caulk doesn t allow the floor to move, expand and contract when you applied the caulk. Caulk won t allow the floor to move as much as its designed to..

Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a couple 100,000 s/f. GL

I used caulk to fill in the expansion gaps but then I drilled 3 holes in the floating floor boards to screw down a cabnent, now heading towards winter now it is buckling...why? was it just the screws or the caulking too? thank you
