Flowers for portland area patio?

Impatiens are well known for doing fine in shade, and they are very colourful. Lobelia can do well in part shade. Without knowing exactly how much shade you are talking about, it's hard to say more. By limited sunlight, do you mean that there's an hour a day, or 5 hours? Morning sun, evening sun, or mid-day sun?

The cloudy weather doesn't affect plants much, as long as it isn't actually raining, and the rain is fine as long as the container can drain and not get soggy. Besides, wait a few weeks. The weather will change. You probably won't see any rain for weeks on end from mid June to the end of September.

tricky point research from search engines like google that could actually help

Hi All,

I am new in Portland, Oregon. I have an apartment with patio. Wondering which flowers are good for this area, which cloudy weather, limited sun light in patio with rainy days.

Please suggest me few names. I am planning to plant them in 1 feet deep container.

Thanks.

K.
