Fresh paint peeling off bathroom wall?

Are the walls waterproofed? There could be damp trapped in there preventing the paint from adhering. The best solution is to apply PVA glue to the walls with a paintbrush, wait for it to dry, then apply a white undercoat and two or three thin coats of bathroom paint. Do not use the shower during this time

Hi.

I bought some Dulux Bathroom+ paint from B&Q today, it was from the paint mixing station.

I started doing the cutting in in the bathroom, going around the tiles etc, and then I went to have dinner and when I came back I was wiping along the edge of the tiles and the paint I had just applied just peeled right off the wall, it still had its elasticity, like peeling PVA glue off a hard surface?

Our house was totally re plastered about a year ago, and just had a plain white wash on the walls. I didn't have this problem when we painted the hallway, so what can I do to fix it?

If I water down some matt emulsion and coat the walls in that first, will that work?

Thanks for any tips and advice, I'm pretty annoyed about this seeing as I had done about an hour and a half's worth of cutting in ??
