Fingers crossed. If you have punctured the cooling panel you will need a new appliance. Don't inhale any gas as it is indeed dangerous.
The gas is very dangerous. You should have some one come and check it out that knows what they are doing. As for turning it off the gas is still going to leak just not as fast. The local firer department can check it for you in most areas: GOOD LUCK! YOUR GOING TO NEED IT!
I defrosted my fridge freezer earlier , and i know its a big no no but used a knife , i switched it bak on a while ago but my partner said he smelled gas from it and i can also smell gas from it !! Its still freezing fine . Should i turn it off or is it ok till i get a new one ?? Read somewhere else that the gasses aren't dangerous but i'm beginning to wonder
