Don't worry. people everywhere are the same. I'm your age and I have been to a small and big school, and I didn't have any problems finding nice people to be friends with. I'm also kind of quiet around new people and I was ok :) It's the same, just with hallways that are a little more crowded hahaha. You'll be fine.

EDIT: you're so lucky you get a chance to live in southern california! I'm from Canada and I love it every time i visit.

Be nice, sweet, and funny. But don't be too pushy or seem desperate for friends. Just talk to those you believe could make good friends (:

Okay so, i live about an hour away from chicago in a really small town. My grades werent so hot, so my mom had an idea that for a semester of my junior year, i would go to my aunts in southern california, Santa Monica. The school is HUGE. I am seriously so nervous and scared I wont make any new friends. Have any of you had similar experiences and please give me tips?? Im also a 16 year old girl, if that helps..Thank you in advance! :)
