Good flooring for bunny cage?

Posted at: 2014-09-26
I'm getting a bunny in a week or two and I am going to be keeping the bunny in my closet.

Its a walk to closet, it's pretty big.

But I need a flooring that will not soak pee through if the bunny pees on the floor. We just put new carpet in and I can't have that happen!

I can't think of anything...

Either find outdoor location for your bunny or dont get one. No matter what you do that closet will smell so bad in a week that you will never want to be near it. And the odor will smell up your entire bedroom.

make sure your bunny is spayed or neutered. an unneutered bunny will spray your house .

they are naturally clean and like roomy litter boxes with timothy or alfalfa hay. line the bottom of the litter pan with a thick layer of newspaper or junk mail https://www.google.com/search?q=house+ra...

when you are done with the hay spread it on your garden as mulch or put it in the compost pile.

they love a quilt or blanket on the floor and their bed, preferable out of the direction of travel. I would keep a largest dog crate with the litter box and quilt inside as their "safe place". leave the door open .

make sure you cover all electrical cords with conduit or you will have "fried bunny and burned down house". http://www.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded-3-4...
