That will work out well. That looks like rattan furniture if it is you will have to rough it up good(sand it) before painting. It has a protective coating on it.
See if you can find a white corner plant stand and put ferns and greenery on that. Add a pretty table too to go with the settee.
Here's pics of it finished. I'm very happy with the results. Thanks for the help.
Hello. I think I know what I want to do here but I'm not sure it will work. I'm hoping for some advice for you good decorators out there! This is one side of my open porch and I want to make it into a sitting area. My house outside is a dark blue stain (Cabot Newbury Port Blue). The color in my pictures makes it look there is grey in the blue. It is a darker blue and has red in it and not grey, if that makes sense. The floor is mahogany. It's fairly dark in this corner and what I want to do - I'm worried will make it too dark. Here's what I want to do. Paint my furniture white, upholstery in white or off white and black and white accents. Rug bold white with chevron black design. Hanging ferns and other green plants. So, mostly white, black and green accents. I sort of want to paint the furniture black and do white upholstery but will it be too dark. And also, will the black and white theme work with the blue walls? I'm open to any suggestions and not sensitive, if you don't like the combination. Feel free to tell me! THanks.
