buy some doyleys, place over the machines and add small vases of flowers or photos that can be easily removed when the machines have to be used , the flowers can even be plastic ones , just in case water from a vase is spilled. .
I would go with folding screens, portable if you have to move the machines. If they're stationary, you can hang long panels of fabric from the ceiling to the floor, almost like a wall:

Both of these give the illusion of separation or another room....
we can only disguise them not hide. covers over them in pretty colour or art work can lift the mood.
we may be able if room permits to place a screen in front? the can also be decorative etc.

I have a health condition but I am trying to decorate my room, and the big machines just look awful and depressing. How can I hide them?
