Personally, I would hire people to come steam clean it, they have the tools and the know-how... it shouldn't cost much and it would be worth it because it is an expensive piece of furniture.
You want to do it correctly so it doesn't get moldy....
Hire the people who do carpet cleaning, they also offer to clean couches, and you can get several quotes over the phone. Simple and quick to do.
