Ants got to eat too...and a cricket is like beef. And who has not had a burger? So put them in another container closed jar and float the jar in a small container of water. That is ant proof. Because ants have not learned how to swim.
So I got a leopard gecko about a week ago and when I came back home from skating, there were about 50 ants attacking the crickets! I had to throw away the crickets
