pour snow in your room. That will really help
go to any shop that offers 'paint matching', one that match's colours and ask if they have any returned/cheap paint, they usually do have paint that has been returned by customers because the colours are off slightly to what they wanted. rather than go to landfill, they will sell it to you very cheap! and you can find some real nice colours.
i had a small room for a long time, a really small room, the key is to keep it simple, too much on the walls or things out of place, over cluttering the room will make it look and feel real small. also found darker colours made the room feel a little bigger then it actually is.
if you have cheap flat pack furnature (not antique or worth anything) paint it, most people dont paint them even though you can, look up on google 'Furniture painting idea's' and you'll find all sorts. if you know anyone who is arty, get them to paint a design on them, or use stencils, (if you have a printer you can make your own and find templates online)
I want to have a really cool room. Currently one of my walls has a nursery design. I have covered most of it up with posters but you can still see a lot of blue as well as clouds and yellow dots(stars). I am going to paint that the same color as the rest of the room which is white. My room is also kind of small so I am looking for advice on how to make it appear bigger as well. Please nothing too expensive we are on budget right now. The max. price for one item would probably be $40.
The current furniture in my room is:
A Desk with a rolling chair.
A chest of drawers not too big
A full size bed
A bookshelf which fits nicely into a a carved out portion in my room.
A bed side table.
