Yes. You place the bags of food in sealable containers or plastic bins. This is standard practice in commercial kitchens where cockroaches and rodents would have a field day.

I get larder beetles, I'm positive it's because my pets have dry food - they get fresh food daily and the bags of food are sealed, but they're messy eaters so I think bits of their food end-up finding their way under furniture etc. Despite regular vacuuming I still see these little bugs and their larvae (although I never see them in the pet food).

Is there anything I can use to try to discourage these bugs?
