For smaller room sizes you'll want a lighter color because it makes the space seem more open and roomy! I'm redoing my room also and I'm keeping it a light gray color! You can use different colors as accents so it won't seem dull! If you have a window it can come in handy for small room because it also makes the room seem larger, the light especially! If you have mirrors in your room, it's be idea to put it so that its facing the mirror to reflect light. Make sure to use up all space possible! Add some shelves to leave room for floor space and add Small items, even decor. Leaving the shelves partially empty will also make your room seem more open! For other decor I love DIYs there are tons of cute things on YouTube!



However you want. I'm 13 years old, female. I recently moved to a new apartment. I have 4 cats, and just love them, so I "catified" my room. I put shelves up on my walls, and hung up litter mirrors for my cats. I then hung up pictures of them and my 3 little rats. It looks awesome.

Ya know what's really cool? My girlfriend has it and so do I.

Christmas lights. Just white christmas lights. You can turn off the lights in your room and just leave those on to make a really neato, calm and peaceful atmosphere :D

You can pick up rope lights or christmas lights just about anywhere for a few dollars.
