Definitely Lady Bugs! I buy mine from Orchard Supply, but I'm fairly sure that you could get them at a nursery or other garden and plant store. I get aphids on my Roses and empty the bag of Lady Bugs right there.
I rotate from year to year between the bugs and a spray bottle of water and dish soap. Aphids don't like soap and the plants don't mind.
Lady bugs eat aphids and you can buy them from garden centers.
If lady bugs are around in your area they will eat the aphids.
The adult aphids can be washed off with water, a hose. Getting rid of the ants that put the eggs under the leaves will stop the aphids. The eggs can be scraped off the leaves.
Well ladybugs it is then :) This dish-soap was so helpful too, thank you.
If anyone knows of a good plant off the top of your head, I'd love to know. I think I may need a combination of plants?
