If it truly is an historic residence they may dictate what you can and cannot do or change to this
residence. It will be a nightmare for you and the owners right down to the allowed paint color. If this is the
case you would be better to walk away.
I am a young contractor looking for advice on how to bid on a historic residence for restoration.
Should i charge by; cost + fee of total restoration cost, cost + hourly fee, fee of appraisal value for house? And things of that matter.
As i am well informed about how "risky" taking on jobs other than new construction can be, for myself, this type of work is a good nitch .
