Block the holes they are getting in through.

I recently inherited my uncle's house which is surrounded by woods on 2 sides. A couple of weeks ago i was woken up by loud noises coming from the attic. I talked to the next door neighbor and he told me it was a raccoon. He said he had the exact same problem but just at night. I really dont want to kill it just keep it from coming in my attic and using it as its own bachelorette/bachelor pad.
