College has let out for the summer. So I'm back with my parents until the new semester begins. I live in our finished separate from the home basement. We have our washer and dryer and such here. It's not extremely cluttered and its a rather large space. My dad has his giant *** toolbox and a freezer and some drums in one area. Its very dusty . This is an old house and it would be impossible to fill up every crack and crevice. In the last two nights in particular I'm noticing a lot more spiders. One near the light switch. a giant *** one (bigger than a quarter ) scurried across the floor and nearly gave me and a friend a heart attack. And 10 minutes ago I noticed a web on the shoe laces of my dress shoe. So i knocked out all my shoes and a spider fell out of one. And he was a small one but actually wasn't too happy about me knocking him out. I've read where people are using citrus peels or chestnuts around openings. They said it's like a barrier for spiders. Which is awesome. But then I got to thinking...can't that work the other way around. What if that barrier keeps spiders in this damn place?!! what if there is a bunch of spiders going out my door and they can't after i place the repellant so they come to my nice warm bed. I try not to fear the buggers but they just give me the creeps. I've tried getting not so frightened but it just don't help. As with snakes. I've seen what Spider bites can do to you. And I don't want that to happen to me. I'm in kentucky btw.
