If you give a short jerk down and let go - and they won't go up - then it's broken or the thing at the end needs to be rewound.

Of course, if it's broken they will come down. That old gravity thing.

I have one in my bedroom that won't go up either. When I want it up I just hand roll it from the top.

It should only take a quick jerk and let go they will rollup.

I have roller shades that I pull down when I want them to close but when I want to open them I don't know what to do I just pull downwards again and instead of rolling up the shade keeps unravelling. What am I doing wrong? How do I roll the shades back up?
