Call the Exterminator to come spray your home and keep food in the kitchen

These are small cockroaches (up to 15mm) and while they aren't are gruesome as typical cockroaches, they frighten the hell out of me as they crawl on my bedframe (right by my head sometimes!). I don't have food scraps or rubbish in my room, or any source of heat (I do have my windows open for ventilation throughout the day).
How do I stop them coming into my room? I have sprayed my window frame with fly spray, but I don't think it will be strong enough.
