It's normal. I burn incense at my place all the time. If you get one that smells good, it's really a chill thing to have going in the corner while you do your thing in the other part of the room. If you have a cool burner, then it looks cool and the smoke looks cool coming out of it. Plus, incense smoke doesn't crap up your house like tobacco smoke, so you can burn it without worrying about your walls turning yellow :)
I was thinking of buying them just for the smell and the hippy reference. is that normal or is it recommended to use it only for religious purposes
