Burning something in the microwave won't ruin it unless the product actually erupted in flames if it just smoked it's all good. I've done that before with the popcorn button and it keeps cooking even though it should be done. Stinks for a few days is all
I will never live that down. I was baby sitting my nieces and nephews and went to make popcorn. My brothers microwave was 10x more powerful then mine and the popcorn became like a flaming meteorite. I tried to throw it out but couldn't figure out the lock on his sliding door in the panic. It's all okay but people will be laffing at you for years, learn to live with it:>)
Your house will smell like burned popcorn for a while. But not forever.
Open some windows and run your kitchen exhaust fan for a couple of hours.
Ok so I was microwaving some popcorn and it put it on 23:30 instead of 2:30 and of course i was careless and i didnt notice it so i looked at my popcorn and there was toons of smoke coming out and i quickly went to the microwave and took it out. The bag was smoking so i took it outside and now my whole house smells like smoke and i dont think my microwave works havnt tried it because i unplugged it.Is my house gonna be fine?
