by cat safe do you mean safe for the plant if so try something like a cactus. if you mean something safe for the cat you could try cat nip. the amount of care a plant needs will mostly depend on what situations it is adapted to so a cactus will barely grow and require little maintenance but a rose bush will require almost constant maintenance. you could always just the plant out of the cats reach such as on a stand or in a pot hanging from the ceiling.

ok, so I'm a nut for plants. I love to grow things. I want something that won't grow like Audrey in The little shop of horrors movie. I want something that can stay in one pot for its life cycle.

we face North-East and there are other taller buildings in the way so we only get a few hours of natural light.

I want something that:

-doesn't grow too fast

-is cat safe

-can live in a medium sized pot for its life cycle

-isn't too demanding

-doesn't have flowers

-can survive with minimum natural light

-can fit on a very tiny windowsill

-doesn't get too big



-is hardy
