Build your bed as high as is possible and still have head room. Add storage underneath. Put the desk NEXT to the bed rather than under it. Buy ready made cabinets and screw them together. Either get them at Habitat or spring for new ones at Lowes/Home Depot. Lowes cabinets are shipped right to you. If money is no object, see

They are in New Hampshire and send custom cabinets via moving co. truck. You plan what you need with them, they build it and ship it. Only thing you do is screw units together per the plan. They are fabulous cabinets and you get what you pay for (about double Lowes' price).

I really want a loft bed but my ceiling is 90" high, about 7.5 ft. I'd have an 8 inch full size mattress.

My wishlist:

a MINIMUM of 2 feet between the ceiling, and my head

built in desk and lots of storage beneath

a minimum of 50" of space between bed and floor

somebody to put it together for me

already painted (preferably white)

able to ship to New Hampshire

I DO NOT want a DIY or anything like that

Price doesn't really matter

Must fit all needs above

I LOVE this one but my ceiling is too low
