My Behr Flat paint is shiny?

First of all, shine never comes off. I have been painting for forty plus years. They gave you the wrong paint in that one container. You need to get the right color, lightly sand that one wall, repaint it with the flat paint you have done with the other walls. Take your paint back and make sure and dab a small amount on the lid of the wrong paint so they can see. Go to the return desk first. They will give you back the money and you can repurchase the correct paint.

Paint a small piece of something, let it dry and take it with the paint back to the store. This will show that you got gloss paint instead of flat. Bring your receipt if you have it. There was apparently a labeling error at the factory. The store should give you another can.

Hi All,

I just painted one of my wall using dark color Behr Ultra Flat paint and it came out too shiny. I have other walls painted with lighter color of Behr Ultra Flat and I do not have this problem. They all came out fine with flat finish.

I went to home depot and ask what was going on and I was told that it would take a couple of weeks for the shine to be gone. Is this true? Why is my other walls with lighter color does not seem to have this problem.

I am very concern about this wall since this wall is painted chocolate like dark color to be my accent wall with lights beaming on it. It looks more like something between satin or eggshell finish which makes all the blemishes very noticeable when I have lights shining on the wall. It has been about two days since I put on the second coat and I do not really see the change in sheen.

Please Help!!!!
