If the police come insist on a copy of the report showing any evidence of excessive noise.
Check out Your local laws and find out what exactly You are permitted to do. Most places I have lived in permit some nose from 7am until 11pm . And make sure You get a copy of this ordinance. Your real problem is that You Pizzed Her off and She's got a hate on for You. Not much You can do about that so simply ignore it. But since You now have a copy of what You can do the next time the Landlord arrives offer Them a copy of the local law;s and make sure They pass it on to the neighbor. If She's not happy offer to ,help Her find another apartment.
What has probably upset her is the party that you did have, without telling her first
that noise would be expected
Why I'm going to have a noisy house, people or workmen, I always go through to my neighbour
and let her know, so she knows what to expect
Sadly if things do not improve, the best thing you can do is look for somewhere else to stay
because once you have the baby there is going to be more noise, when she hears baby crying
make spooky noises through the wall that she cant explain and it will make her look crazy when you look at the landlord and say what!!
are you serious, wow i never hear it
Hi everyone, so I'm eighteen and me and my boyfriend ate expecting a baby... I moved out a couple of months ago and moved into my own place, the first week I moved in I had a housewarming party, we were noisy and the neighbour complained to the landlord, to which I sincerely apologized about, I went round to her house, but she didn't answer so I posted a little note through her door to say sorry and assure her it wouldnt happen again. She never got back to me, I've lived here 6 months and she hasn't spoken to me once, won't even return a smile. My landlord came round last week to say she had text him on multiple occasions complaining about noise, she's even complained about noise when I've been at work, and away for the weekend, I have done my best to stay quiet, I'm terrified of turning my tv up incase she complains and I get evicted. She's making a lot up, saying I have parties every weekend, when I honestly dont, I'm pregnant and work full time so I'm too tired to have parties. She's said we've been out in my back garden screaming and shouting, when my backyard is having work done on it so it's impossible for me to actually go outside. Neither of my other neighbours have complained, what can I do if this carries on? Like I say, it's only me in the house and I stay very, very quiet. I'm just sick of being scared to move in my own house. Thanks guys.
