An idea that could be a little bit of a reach, but is a definite problem would be that the freezer part is cracked or broken somehow when the water passes through it. Water expands when it freezes so the expansion of the water could have done further damage. Or the water is leaking next to the freezer and the water is freezing on the plastic outing of the wires, or something that is meant to stay cold. If the water freezes on something that is meant to stay cold it could act as an igloo and keep the stuff on the inside at a warmer temperature than the frozen water on the outside. But also lean the fridge back to clean the dust. I bought a fried for my garage on craigslist and the guy showed me the wires and said he cleaned them of any dust and it legit looked clean. I have a large piece of outdoor carpet in front of the wall I put the fridge on and as I was wheeling the fridge to its location on the carpet, dust was being grabbed by the carpet. Not just like a small little dust bunny that fell down and made its way out the bottom, like a good square foot or two of dust spread out and about a quarter inch high. Dust on the bottom is definitely an issue I think you should look into. I also suggest emptying the fridge of breakables and having more than one person or a person and a wheel stopper to hold the fridge at an angle to clean the bottom, especially if it has wheels. And in case you are unaware, never keep a fridge on its side, and if you do let it sit for a day or two before you plug it in or else you will more than likely kill the compressor and/or other important components in the guts of the fridge. Other than these ideas, its totally possible someone else hit the temperature thing by accident. I accidentally turned it up and froze a gallon and a half of milk, a dozen eggs and whatever else was at the back of my fridge so its possible to have the other extreme happen. If its old, it might have gone bad. Older fridges usually last longer than newer fridges, but there was a point in between where they were not very reliable at all, but also didn't have the features of the newer fridges. If none of these ideas work, look up the make and model of your fridge to look at forums and legit websites where people might have had the same problem with the same fridge and see what they have to say about the problem.
I also need help with my fridge, How can I reduce the condensation in my frost free fridge? there is always a puddle of water in the fridge it is driving me bonkers help
Any chance you somehow accidently hit the temperature setting? If it is one of the newer ones with the digital displays on front, the buttons could have been accidently pressed (when someone thought they were pressing the water or ice dispenser, by children playing around, etc.)
Hey! Just noticed my refrigerator was not as cold as it always has been. I already took of the back part and cleaned all the dust around the wires, and also check the lower front part of the fridge for no dust. So waiting to see if it gets back to being cold. If it doesn't, could anyone tell me what the problem is> Also, I noticed a little dripping of water on the front bottem on the freezer side, wonder what that could be from? need help please
