Need help design my bedroom.?

It'd start with buying a comforter OR a rug then pick out a color from it to paint the walls. I agree with Suzie, you might not want a super dark wall color or too much emphasis on your favorites (purple and orange) because they are so "hot" and you do live in a very warm part of the US.

--Be sure your comforter (and rug) have WHITE,( not beige or grey) as a background color (to go with the furniture).

-- I can see doing the walls in a light peach OR an off white which has peach in it. Peach is a tricky color so be sure you bring the paint chips home, observe in all lights (daytime, night time, etc.) to avoid a time-consuming painting mistake. I can also see a light lilac with dark purple and orange accents and white furniture plus some metallics and bling for shimmer.

--Ultra modern: paint the walls white with a slight purple cast. Put up white blinds. Use your dark purple and orange ONLY in pillows on a white bed and a tiny bit of accessories around the room such as ONE chair. This would be very very modern. It would also feel much cooler.

Because Arizona is very dry I would paint your walls a light orange. Then pick purple and orange items. I would pick a purple comforter. Also, to make it seem more like the outside atmosphere pick light colored curtains to let more light in and place small pots with plants native to Arizona around the room.

I live in az too! but i would actually paint the walls white, to make the rooms feel bigger and cooler, then just add alot of color in pillows and a cool comforter (check out urbanoutfitters.com for the pillows and stuff they have super cool things), maybe a couple brightly colored silk or real flower arrangements.

White would be a good choice because most of your stuff you accommodate over your years of living here will be colored and white wont be bad.

If you dont want white i would do a very pastel color. dark colors make the room feel smaller and more stuffy, which is bad in az heat. i painted my room a couple years ago a deep green, and it feels so claustrophobic and stuffy and not generally nice. hope this helps!

Dark purple and orange will make your room seem even hotter than it already is. Go with light greens or blue to make it feel cooler.

The new dark purple is a wonderful color when mixed with a lot of white.

This room has purple paint on the top half and white on the bottom :https://images.search.yahoo.com/images/v...

Use all white bedding- a quilt and crisp sheets.Don't forget fresh green plants.Small pops of yor orange will be more than enough.

Happy decorating .

I just moved to Arizona. And im curious what color i should paint my bedroom walls and what comforter i should buy. all my furniture is white and from ikea. I want a room that reminds me of the outside atmosphere. I my favorite colors are dark purple and orange.
