What a ridiculous place to put any carpet especially a cream one.
You should be able to buy clear plastic matting by the metre. It has small plastic notches underneath which grips the carpet to prevent slipping. Not sure about your location for supplies. You may need to research.
The other way to deal with it is to buy a carpet cleaner. Then any accidents can be dealt with before they get a hold. A Vax with a rotating brush works well.
Hiya we're moving into a rented flat which has cream carpets in the kitchen! We have a little baby and I'm sure the carpet will get ruined! Other than laying runner rugs alongside the cabinets what could we do to protect them? Ideally I'd like to somehow lay some vinyl or something so that it can be cleaned easily. Any suggestions?
