Painting furniture magnolia?

Hi - I guess you will be using Annie Sloans paint? Magnolia is a great colour on furniture and will go with anything that you care to put with it :) I am a fan of Annie Sloans paint also Eggshell paint and paint furniture for a living. Using Annie Sloan's paint - although perhaps you may know - that you have to put her own make Clear Wax on top once you have painted it to protect the paint. I would advise to put at least two coats of wax on.

You can also have like a shabby chic finish too. I do a shabby chic finish by putting a darker wax on top - but if you use Annie Sloans paint - before you put any dark wax on - you still have to put her clear wax on first. Although I don't use Annie Sloans Dark Wax I use a product called Briwax in Antique Pine - I like this better for the finish I create :) You will find that here :)

Have a look on my website to see how my shabby chic style looks - it is a lovely effect. But.... even if you just want plain magnolia - which, I have also done - will look nice.

I hope you enjoy looking on my website and good luck with your own painting - I always say you never know what you can do until you try - after all - it is only paint - and if you don't like it you can always paint it something else :)

Hi im thinking of painting some old furniture with some Magnolia chalk paint, will this colour look ok? anyone used this colour on furniture? if you have any pics i would love to see. Thankyou
