Reasonable pay for house sitting?

Figure out how many hours per day you work there, and multiply by the hourly wage you want. I would suggest $10 to $12 per hour. The pay should have been discussed and agreed upon before you started the job.

If I was doing that I'd want at least $40 a day. Best to estimate the time it will take and settle on the price of things like this in advance, so everyone knows what they're signing up for.

Animal caretakers generally charge between $7.84 - $16.00 an hour.

This person has 4 dogs and 2 cats. He also has a load of chickens. He also has an alpaca. I have had to lug water down a hill to water him. I have had to feed the dogs obviously and the cats. Every evening I have had to change the waterers in the chicken coops and feed them. I went up there three times a day. Twice a day one of the dogs needs a pill. It is for four days. What is a reasonable amount to ask for?
