Repaint / restraining wood - is it easy or time consuming?

its not too hard. just do as much research as possible on youtube and google to find out what grains of sand paper to use, how to apply stain, etc

Vinyl Shutter Restoration Kit cleans and rejuvenates of wooden table and also old faded shutter, your home furniture, it gave your vinyl shutters to look like new and restores color for long time.

I spilled some sort of liquid onto my moms wooden table. it's a very nice table and it was a total accident. A big shame. :( I've decided to take the initiative and fix it myself or perhaps take it to a shop. I cannot find a shop close to me, so it seems I'll have to figure it out myself first.

-I've looked into using those colored wood markers but the surface that has the issue is not smooth and I feel that the markers would be way too tacky and evident looking.

Should I completely strip, sand down, and re-stain the entire top the cherry color? is it difficult for someone who has no wood or painting experiences? Is it very time consuming? I've already searched videos.. it doesn't *seem* too hard.. but the people in the videos are experts and I don't want to risk ruining the table further.

Based on the photos, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

any information that you can offer will be very much appreciated

thank you
