Oh, don't.
Trying to repaint walls that have been painted blackor purple is horrendous...and while you have them, they are hard to live with.
Just paint them white, and then ADD your purple and zebra stuff.
You can get border to paste up, a bedspread, curtains, a rug - everything else but the walls.
Seriously, you or someone else is going to regret it if you paint anything black or purple. With white, you can change your mind.
Purple! My room use to be purple with zebra stripe decorations and it looked amazing! Plus, pink is just TOO girly.
