That is an awful situation to be in! You need to call a pest control specialist- they have methods of getting rid of a rat infestation without harming household pests. I haven't had experience with rats myself but theses guys came and removed a wasps' nest from my garden last summer and the service and price was great. Hi strange as it might seem we all live within 10 meters of rats in the whole world.

Okay long story short we have an apartment near a Chinese restaurant and we share the same garden/patio...

They have become bankrupt or something as such as there where people asking if we use there door to get in because they are changing the locks.

Long story short they left a few windows open and my brother witness a rat come out of it. We told the council that came to change their locks to shut the windows so they did but the rats have bitten a hole in the door so they get out now! We can't open a door because we don't want rats in our house. We cannot use rat traps or rat poisoning because we have pets that use the garden. I don't know who
